spirals and our own love story

a life with purpose

The spiral is one of the oldest and most universal symbols. The spiral is a revered and sacred symbol that reminds us of our winding, evolving journey in life and reflect the life cycles of time, nature, birth death, a woman’s symbol, the goddess, the womb, fertility, circles, intuition, intention, growth, learning, development and our relationships. it has both masculine and feminine energies and represents connection and eternal love, as well as the beginning of love and our love stories.

Spirals are found everywhere and they represent the inward journey that we must all take if we are to truly know and love ourselves. The spiral brings attention to our own love story and to our mate, especially as the cycles of change and time unfold what is true. Become aware of spirals within your own life – the circles that show up and demand something new from you.

Spirals have always touched me personally, in ways that i have never quite understood. as i have aged, the symbolism of spirals has remained present in my life.

They are my hope, my own connection, my ritual, my grounding and they symbolically show my relationship with intimacy and love. as i prepare to marry my lovely man, i want to stand in a sacred spiral with our family and friends. in this circle, we can say our vows to each other and have the spiral witness to our future intentions. This feels like a privilege. My wish is that we notice spirals and learn from them and may our own love stories be more present, kind and sacred.

something beautiful for you

”It’s clear to me now that I have been moving toward you and you toward me for a long time. Though neither of us was aware of the other before we met, there was a kind of mindless certainty bumming blithely along beneath our ignorance that ensured we would come together. Like two solitary birds flying the great prairies by celestial reckoning, all of these years and lifetimes we have been moving toward one another.” Robert James Waller, The Bridges of Madison County.
