To Begin…We are so happy to announce that our Second Elopement Giveaway (February 2021) went to a gorgeous couple – Lauren and Josh! In 2020, our first year of COVID, and our First Elopement Giveaway was won by Stephy and Ben. To see so much love and commitment between these two couples is truly inspiring, and we congratulate both couples on their marriages and celebrate their ‘love stories.’And while the packages were stunningly amazing, neither of them would have been possible if it were not for the 24 superbly talented Gippsland vendors who are featured throughout these pages.As we put the pages together for our stunning Issue # 6, we stand in gratitude and love for the opportunity to make a contribution to the life and ‘love story’ of Lauren and Josh. We know these memories will last a life time.
the proposal
When it’s meant to be, then nothing, it seems, can get in the way. And that’s just what it was like for Lauren and Josh.As soon as they met in 2013, there was a deep and instant connection. The incredible bond of love, trust, and heart felt devotion just continued to grow. They were the best of friendsand knew they could never be apart.Josh chose a clear, beautiful solitaire diamond that was setin rose gold, as Lauren’s engagement ring. They went with their three children to their favourite beach and then walked to Cape Liptrap Lighthouse. The day was sunny, the scene magnificent, and the love between them and their be loved children abounded.Josh asked Lauren to marry him. With joy, happy laughter, and boundless love, they enjoyed family time together and then celebrated in the evening with family and friends. The day was perfect!

With the whirlwind of 2020/21, Lauren and Josh hadn’t considered making plans to marry. But timing, circumstances, and events just rolled into the most amazing opportunity. Lauren’s best friend Caz, urged Lauren to enter the second I do I do Gippsland Elopement Giveaway, and Lauren and Josh were the winners.
On May the 26th 2022, Lauren and Josh’s wedding day finally happened. After four wedding dates, a pandemic, a country in turmoil, and quiet determination, their love story eclipsed all else. It was intimate, amazing, and so beautiful.
Lauren and Josh shared their day with their children Trè, Mia, Luca, family and friends, which was just the most stunning celebration. Love really does win in the end.
