Tucked behind an avenue of old oak trees, the sanctuary of Mewburn Park is your wedding venue with the most iconic driveway entrance, lush green gardens, heritage 1850’s Stables, tranquil walkways, and ponds oozing serenity. Positioned on a 400-acre private property – it’s all set with everything you need for a perfect & relaxed wedding! Get ready in our spacious and dreamy Day Suite, have your ceremony and cocktail hour anywhere in the gardens or in front of the historic Stables, celebrate your reception in our modern 25m clear-view marquee with polished concrete flooring, and retreat at the end of the night to the secluded The Lakehouse.
Let Mewburn Park spoil your guests with our extensive beverage package with all the essentials included. For catering, you are spoiled for choice with some of Gippsland’s best caterers, all offering a delicious menu of gourmet food. Using one of Mewburn Park’s recommended caterers guarantees you and your guests a seamless night with amazing quality and attentive service for you and your guests.
Our wedding packages offer unique experiences for anywhere between 50-130 guests. Extensions can be applied for on request for up to 170 guests. Mewburn Park can also cater for micro weddings of under 50 guests – please reach out for more information on this.
The Day Suite
Check-in to your Suite for the day where you’ll enjoy free flowing drinks and delicious bite sized snacks with your crew. Prepare for your ceremony with plenty of space; the sun filled dressing lounge with gorgeous old French doors looking out onto your private courtyard, a living room and dining area, kitchen and modern bathroom.
Ceremony & Cocktail Hour
The established gardens at the front of the Homestead offer a botanical garden vibe for ceremonies and after ceremony drinks. Choose from the old tennis court, tranquil ponds or the huge oak trees for your unique ceremony location. Drinks and canapés will also be served here for your guests, while you roam the property with your wedding party and photographer.
Mewburn Park’s iconic brick Stables and surrounding gardens offer another beautiful backdrop for ceremonies in the courtyard. Draped in festoon lights, this space helps create a unique experience for all guests whilst enjoying a drink from the old rustic Stables bar.
Completely protected from the elements, the Farmer’s Shed offers a unique space with its herringbone brick floor, old wooden beams and rustic tin panelling. A comfortable space for up to 130 guests for both ceremony and cocktail hour.
Where ever your ceremony location is, your guests will be guided to there on arrival. The team at Mewburn Park will look after you and your guests from entry, right through to departure at the end of the night.
Reception time
Make your way into the stunning clear view marquee; where you can take in the surrounding gardens, ponds and mountain views. With dusk setting in, you can then look up at the sky’s silky, smooth collusion of blush and blues, transforming into the calming stars of the night. The 25 x 10 metre marquee is a blank canvas that allows you to create your dream wedding look, offering plenty of space for a sit-down evening or a relaxed cocktail party with the setup of tables, chairs and festoon/fairy lights all included. The marquee comes with a polished concrete floor, plenty of power for entertainment, electric heaters, fans and a large deck with bar tables and chairs.
The marquee comfortably fits up to 130 guests seated, with the option to increase the capacity up to 170 guests on request. And having your venue coordinator all day and night, whatever the weather brings you have someone making sure the marquee is comfortable in any weather conditions.
Stay
Retreat to The Lakehouse once you’ve partied the night away with your crew. The Lakehouse is a 1 bedroom cabin with a bathroom, kitchen and lounge area, featuring a stunning deck with an outdoor bathtub looking over the pond. Waking up to breakfast on the still waters of our pond, with birds tweeting and sunshine in your faces, is there a better way to start your marriage?
