Renee & Mitch

The love story

For Mitch and Renee, their love story began just over 17 years ago at Buln Buln Junior Tennis. At that time they were both 15 which seems like a lifetime ago. Mitch and Renee embarked on their beautiful journey together. A year into their relationship, Mitch mustered the courage to invite Renee to the movies. They chose Warragul Cinemas and watched Nacho Libre, a film that Mitch now jokingly labels as ‘terrible.’ Their time together was regulated to every two weeks, typically on a Sunday, often accompanied by Renee’s younger brother Harley.

Things took a turn around the age of 17 when Renee decided to end things with Mitch via a text message, sending them both back into the uncertain waters of the dating world. Despite trying to move on, Renee found herself unable to replicate the feelings she had for Mitch. Over time, she realized she couldn’t help but compare everyone she met to him.

At around the age of 23, fate intervened and brought Mitch and Renee back into each other’s lives. The spark between them was as vibrant as ever, reigniting their deep connection instantly. Since then, they have remained together, bound by a love that has endured through time.

Something beautiful

“Mitch and Renee, have welcomed each other’s families, communities and lifelong friends and built a new village together that has led them here today. They have made some great memories and achievements together as a couple; however nothing beats their greatest achievement of welcoming their three beautiful children, Nash, Andy and Nellie into this world.” Alana – The Homegrown Celebrant.

Juliette & Patrick

The first date

Juliette and Patrick met through Juliette’s cousin in 2016. They started talking online for a bit, getting to know each other through messages and calls, before finally meeting in person. That first meeting marked the beginning of a beautiful journey together, filled with love and countless cherished moments.

The engagement

Our daughter was just three weeks old, and we were still very much in the newborn bubble. We were at home in the lounge room when he got down on one knee and asked me. It was a very emotional moment and completely caught me by surprise, but now I can’t imagine him proposing any other way.

The gown

The first thing that caught my eye was the blush undertone of the dress; it was so unique compared to anything I had seen. The billowing sleeves and dreamy skirt made me feel like a princess, and it perfectly suited our venue. I wasn’t keen on a traditional veil because the dress already had so much fabric, so I chose a small hair scarf instead.

One piece of advice

Secure your essential vendors as soon as possible! Wedding vendors often get booked far in advance, so once you have your date, start putting down deposits right away. And remember, don’t stress over the small details. Your guests are there to celebrate you, and they won’t notice the little things as much as you think.

The venue

One major priority for us was having the ceremony and reception at the same location so our guests wouldn’t have to travel in between. The gardens are absolutely whimsical, and I knew I wanted to get married in front of one of their original water fountains. The marquee had ample room for all the vendors we wanted, and since it was a November wedding, it was reassuring to know we had an indoor option if the weather turned wet.

Beautiful ceremony memories

Our daughter was 15 months old at the time and she was walking around during the ceremony. She ended up standing between us, which was really special to have her involved.

Favourite memories

Walking back up the aisle! The ceremony jitters were gone, and we had just been introduced as husband and wife with all our friends and family cheering us on. It was so surreal.

Favourite vendors

Definitely the staff and owners at Glenfyne. They went above and beyond, taking care of the little details we had overlooked and handling everything behind the scenes. They made sure everything ran smoothly, and even if it didn’t, we had no idea. Also, our flowers were amazing, like all my Pinterest dreams come true.

The night before

The night before the wedding, I stayed at my parents’ house with our daughter, Montana. She was awake almost all night, so by morning, I was feeling pretty exhausted. It wasn’t ideal, but a strong coffee and an encouraging pep talk from my bridesmaids made all the difference.

I’m COURTNEY AND I JUST BLOODY LOVE A WEDDING. The vibes, the resounding yell from the rooftop celebration of love, the people, but most of all? I love being able to capture the most special day of your life the best way I know how – with laughs, some serious moves on the dance floor, my third arm (my camera), and immersing myself completely into your day. I love love. Watching two humans promise forever to each other gives me the warm fuzzies, and getting to immortalise that for you? Well, that takes the cake as the best job ever and I’m so bloody glad I get to do it. I’m warm and energetic, fun and love a laugh and I promise that you’ll get the very best of me, amazing dance moves included.

Josie & Chris

The meeting

Josie and Chris met through mutual friends in February 2016. On our first date, we went out for dinner. I was so nervous that I dropped all my cutlery on the ground. Despite my clumsiness and nerves, Chris never doubted how perfect we could be together.

The proposal

Chris and I went to Walkerville for the weekend and little did I know that weekend Chris was going to propose. Weeks before this weekend, he went to see my dad at work and asked for his blessing of marriage and only asked my mum the day before as she cannot keep a secret especially this exciting news. I thought we were just going camping so I was wearing my old comfy tracksuit clothes. Whilst Chris was wearing a nice button up shirt however, I still didn’t click that anything was going to happen.

One piece of advice

Planning your special day can be stressful and exhausting. Remember to breathe and try to arrange vendors in advance.

We then arrived to Walkerville, set up our campsite and then went for a walk along the beach where we had a picnic rug in one hand, my favourite songs playing in the background with a Bluetooth speaker, a glass of wine and beer in our other hand. We then sat on the beach. I noticed Chris was being a bit odd. You could say a little bit nervous, he kept touching his pocket and that’s when I realised he got up on one knee and proposed. He said so many beautiful words. In that moment, I didn’t have to think twice and said yes to the man of my dreams.

The gown

I’ve always dreamt about my wedding dress, whether I pick a dress that is a bit more Cinderella style or whether more tight fitting. After endless scrolls on Pinterest and researching online. I then went to the city to find my dress. After trying many styles of wedding dresses. I stumbled across Jane Hill where I tried on my wedding dress. As soon as I tried this dress on, I knew I had to get this dress, the way it made me feel like a princess. It was simple and elegant. It fits my body so nicely and got minimal alterations done. I look back at my wedding photos today and I still adore my wedding dress and I would highly recommend Jane Hill!

The venue

The Vines on Avon is a fantastic entertainment space in a convenient location, not too far from Traralgon where most of their guests are based. The venue is beautiful, with the vines providing a stunning backdrop.

The ceremony

Josie shared “that they organized a witness lottery by placing all our guests’ names in a bowl. The bride and groom then drew two names to be included on the marriage certificate.” This added such a beautiful and special moment to their wedding ceremony.

Favourite memories

Josie loved her wedding day and shared “that one of their favourite memories was stepping away from their guests for a moment, which they enjoyed a picnic among the vines. It was a special time to savour each other’s company and cherish the realisation that we had just gotten married.

Favourite vendors

Josie loved all her vendors and shared “that the Pretty Bunch did a sensational job with the flower arrangements, making it easy to bring her inspiration ideas to life. Bonita Salon and Alarna Bell Makeup were equally amazing, ensuring all the girls’ makeup and hair were perfectly on point.

Mel & Danny

The love story

Mel and Danny met in 2018. At the time, Danny was living and working in Traralgon, and Mel had taken a two-week physiotherapy placement there. One Friday night, Mel and her friend Helen went to 3844 Bar for a drink. They were seated at a table right in front of the door, so every time someone came in, they felt a cold breeze, as it was early June. The bar was very busy that night, and the only available seats were at a table shared with two guys—Danny and his housemate. They started talking and ended up having a fantastic night, dancing until late. Danny later admitted that he saw Mel walk through the bar and immediately knew he wanted to talk to her—it was love at first sight for him! On Sunday, they went for a group hike, and the following week, Danny and Mel had their first date where they baked a Tiramisu together. Mel, who loves baking, found it to be the perfect date and started to really like Danny. After Mel’s placement finished, they spent each weekend taking turns visiting each other in Melbourne and Traralgon.

The proposal

Mel proposed to Danny! They had planned a wonderful 10 day camping trip through the high country, and that’s when Mel decided to do it. Mel had engagement rings made as a pair and shared, “Danny’s ring had the shape of my ring engraved on the inside so they fit together perfectly.” During the trip, she wooed him by giving him a new pair of socks every morning when they woke up (Danny loved socks). On the second-to-last night, she surprised him with a cosy log cabin accommodation on the Howqua River. After they showered and enjoyed some champagne, she popped the question. He, of course, said yes!

One piece of advice

If you can embrace breaking tradition, the first look is TOTALLY worth it. It gave us a precious moment to soak up our love for each other and center ourselves before the day’s craziness. The day goes by so fast. Stay true to your values – if you want to elope, do it. If you want the big white wedding, go for it. If you want to eat cake at 4:30 pm, do it. There are no rules; only the two of you matter.

The wedding outfits

Mel shared “I knew I didn’t want to wear white. With three young children, practicality was key—I could easily end up with dirt or tomato sauce on my dress before walking down the aisle. Plus, I wanted something unique and memorable. I found a gorgeous dress at a sample sale in Melbourne and had it altered. With its tulle and train, I felt like a goddess. It was divine.”

Danny shared “I was set on finding a green suit from the start. Amazingly, it fit perfectly off the rack without any tailoring. It was classic yet distinctive, and the service was fantastic!”

Mel and Danny gave their bridal party a colour palette and let them choose their outfits. They wanted everyone to feel 100% comfortable and true to themselves. Coincidentally, both bridesmaids chose off-the-shoulder dresses!

The venue

DIY was very important to Mel and Danny, especially to Mel. Mel has always been crafty and loves taking on projects. Their venue was perfect—spacious enough for their 118 guests but intimate enough to keep everyone connected. With 18 kids attending, it was crucial to keep them within sight. The hall is beautifully maintained and provided a level surface for the tepees.

The ceremony

Mel and Danny had a first look before the guests arrived, which Mel shared “was a wonderful moment to see each other and the kids before the chaos began. I think everyone was surprised to see me in pink, though it probably wasn’t too shocking for those who know me well and we tried to have our three boys walk down the aisle to the Bluey theme song, but only Edi and Hucky made it—Fionn was a bit stubborn!”

Edi had given each of Mel and Danny’s mums a large burgundy dahlia to acknowledge their importance in our lives and to show our gratitude. They had had surprise witnesses for the signing of their marriage certificate. Mel and Danny had hidden two pens under the guests’ seats and had asked everyone to check their seats when it was time to sign. The lucky finders got to be their witnesses! After the ceremony, they cut and served the cake immediately, offering it at 4:30 pm when the bar opened. Mel had made Limoncello favours for all their guests, each with a tag indicating their table number. This had allowed guests to choose their seats at the table, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

Favourite memories

Additionally, each favour contained a handwritten thank you message for every guest. The children each received goodie bags to keep them entertained during the ceremony, and Mel and Danny had a children’s entertainer dressed as Emma Wiggle for two hours during the day.

Mel created a ‘Generations of Love’ board to honour guests married for over 40 years, including their parents. Mel and Danny also had a champagne tower, and while pouring, Mel accidentally knocked over one of the glasses. This is a special memory for Danny because Mel is notoriously clumsy. Edi says “the Tiny Teddys were the best part!” Mel also made the cake herself, starting over a year in advance to learn the skills needed to construct and ice a two-tier cake.

Favourite vendors

Mel and Danny shared “that they had chosen well for their vendors. A special shout-out goes to my brother at Wandering Events. He is amazing at what he does, and all the little extra touches he added made a huge difference. The venue and the teepees fit together perfectly, and he handled all the lighting and the disco ball – it was pure magic! Kate Lafferty Photography, I am IN LOVE with our photos. She captured our day beautifully and told our story through her lens perfectly. She is approachable, easy-going, and made us feel instantly comfortable. The catering was delicious, and everyone raved about the food. The band was fantastic, hitting the vibe perfectly—they are truly talented!

I’m in the business of creatively capturing the beauty of life so that you can relive the beauty of that special day, every day. I have fallen in love with the art of photography. In its ability to capture a fleeting moment – a tear of joy, a hug between friends, a glance of love. Those moments can show more than words can explain. I aim to capture every detail of your big day, preserving real moments to be cherished enabling love ones to reminisce for years to come. My biggest hope is to bond with my clients quickly to ensure that their day is as relaxed and free-flowing as possible capturing emotions and loving details in the most natural and reflective way.

Kate & Scott

The love story

Kate and Scott met at the Boolarra Football and Netball Club in 2012. They were good friends for number of years before their love story began. We had our first kiss in 2016, the day after which Scott had to get a knee reconstruction from a football injury – so it was a very tense two week wait until we could see each other again!

The wedding gown

Kate fell in love with the uniqueness of her wedding gown. Her gown from Amante Bridal in Warragul was micro sequinned with fringe details which Kate adored and shared ‘that it was so different to anything else she had seen. Amante Bridal were such a pleasure to deal with and made the experience so special for Kate.

The venue

Mewburn Park Homestead came highly recommended from a number of Kate and Scott’s connection and they shared that ‘when we visited the venue, nothing compared to its beauty, functionality and hospitality from the gorgeous vendors and hosts Julia and Adam. It was the first and only venue we visited – we fell in love instantly with the venue and it had the most magical atmosphere. It was the perfect vision for our dream wedding day!’

One piece of advice

Make sure you have the love that sets your soul on fire as that love will sustain you through anything life throws your way, far beyond your wedding day. And speaking of the wedding day – make it your own – and don’t forget to party!

Kate and Scott have so many beautiful memories from their wedding day. Having their three-year-old son Ted be part of their wedding day was truly breathtaking. Ted was standing with Scott, and when he saw his Mum walk down the aisle, he yelled ‘mummy!’ with his huge, beautiful smile ran towards Kate and gave her a big cuddle.

Being announced as husband and wife at the end of the ceremony was also a beautiful memory shared in celebration and with all their favourite people. The whole day and night was incredible and one they will cherish forever.

Favourite vendors

Kate and Scott had the most amazing vendors that helped them celebrate and create their dream wedding. Julia and Adam were so accommodating during the whole process. Bec and the Little Prince Eating House & Bar staff provided an incredible atmosphere with their stunning catering and Emma from Haven Still and Moving Images captured their day in a way that they both as a couple and family will treasure these incredible memories forever.

Sarah & Kurt

The love story

Seven years ago, while visiting from New Zealand, Sarah met Kurt at a gig where Kurt, the new drummer in a band with her dad were playing at the Espy. Kurt caught her attention with his good looks and musical talent from behind his drum-kit. After Sarah officially moved back home to Melbourne, Kurt wasted no time in asking her out, taking her to a charming Mexican Restaurant and for a stroll around a park. On the way to the park, Kurt made a bold choice to drive around a huge roundabout three times. To this day, he claims he did it because he wasn’t sure which exit to take, but Sarah has always known it was just for a laugh.

The engagement

While sitting around a campfire with friends, the topic of engagements and weddings came up. We joked about how Kurt would need to buy me not one but two rings – one for the engagement and one for the wedding. To my surprise, Kurt sneakily pulled out a box, took a knee, and casually proclaimed, “What, like these?”

One piece of advice

Try not to sweat the small stuff and remember what’s important to you as a couple on your big day. For us, it was getting married to each other and celebrating our love story with our closest friends and family. And definitely get a DJ!

The wedding outfits

Ceremony Dress: Sarah chose an A-line dress that complemented her shorter stature. It was so beautifully simple, featuring a gorgeous leg split and the perfect pockets, which made Sarah feel both elegant and sexy.

Reception Dress: For the reception, Sarah wanted something she could dance the night away in. The material was super light, and the off-the-shoulder style felt stunning.

Kurt’s Suit: Kurt wanted to get married in a VB green (yes, the beer) suit, and the one from Politix was the closest match he could find.

The venue

As Gippsland locals, we wanted to get married in Gippsland. The beautiful scenery atop rolling hills and the large property allowed us to host both the ceremony and reception in one stunning location.

The ceremony

Our 18-month-old son Owen walked down the aisle with his god sisters, Thalia and Calliope. He froze halfway and then ran into my mum’s arms as she and my dad walked me down the aisle. To honour Sarah’s Greek heritage, her cousin and bridesmaid, Stephanie, performed a traditional Greek wedding ritual called Stefana. The Stefana are two crowns joined by a ribbon, symbolising the unity of two people as they become a single couple.

Favourite memory

After all the formalities were over, Donna, our amazing photographer, tapped us on the shoulder toward the end of dinner and led us outside for a few sunset photos in the olive grove. We danced, laughed, and kissed. I am so grateful we had such a romantic, private moment together on our wedding day.

Favourite vendors

Donna from Donna Lee Photography did an amazing job as our photographer. We felt so comfortable with her capturing our day and our love, and I will treasure the photos she took forever. Mariano from Fancy Disco DJ truly brought the party to life. I didn’t leave the dance floor once it opened, which is exactly how I wanted to celebrate!

Chelsea & Patrick

The love story

It was four years ago that our lives intersected in a most unexpected way – through a game of basketball, courtesy of a mutual friend. We were both going through tough times, but as we laced up our sneakers and hit the court together, something special was born. We found comfort in each other’s company, and our shared struggles brought us closer together. Over time, our friendship blossomed into something more, and before we knew it, we were head over heels in love. Two years after our initial spark, Pat took me to the breathtaking Lakes Entrance Beach, where he proposed to me beneath the sun-kissed sky. And one year later, we exchanged vows and sealed our love forever in a beautiful ceremony. It’s been an incredible journey so far, and I’m grateful for that fateful game of basketball that brought us together.

The engagement

It was a sun-kissed day in 2022 when Pat surprised me with a romantic date to the stunning Lakes Entrance Beach. As we strolled along the shoreline, I couldn’t resist capturing the breathtaking views and turned back around to take a few photos. Little did I know, Pat had other plans! As I gazed back at him, I was met with the most unexpected sight: he was down on one knee, holding a beautiful ring. Overcome with emotion, I burst into tears, and Pat’s eyes welled up with joy as he asked me to be his forever. It was an instantaneous yes, and as we shared that magical moment, our love shone brighter than the sunshine on that perfect day.

One piece of advice

As you embark on this new chapter in your life, remember that your wedding day will fly by in the blink of an eye. Take a moment to slow down, look around, and absorb every precious moment with the people you love. Cherish the laughter, tears, and memories being made with your partner, and bask in the joy of starting your forever journey together. It’s a day to treasure, and one that you’ll always look back on with fondness. Soak it all in and let the magic of this special day stay with you forever.

The wedding outfits

I must admit, I was feeling a sense of defeat as I finished trying on dresses that day. I had almost given up hope of finding the one, but then I slipped into the last dress of the session. And just like that, my doubts vanished! The moment I looked in the mirror, I was swept away by its beauty. The dress hugged my curves in all the right places, and the delicate leaf lace details added a touch of whimsy and romance. My mom and sister both gasped in unison, and I knew we were all thinking the same thing: this is it. This is my dress. The way it made me feel was indescribable – confident, elegant, and like the best version of myself. I knew right then and there that I had found my perfect match.

The venue

We fell in love with the vineyard because of its unique charm and versatility. Not only did it offer the perfect setting for both our ceremony and reception, but it also boasted a breathtaking view that would serve as a stunning backdrop for our special day. The newly renovated chapel, with its elegant architecture and tranquil ambiance, was the icing on the cake. We couldn’t imagine exchanging our vows anywhere else. The idea of being surrounded by rolling hills, lush vines, and lush greenery as we began our new life together was truly irresistible.

The ceremony

One of the most poignant moments for me was when Pat’s voice cracked with emotion as he spoke his vows. It was a beautiful reminder of the depth of his love for me, and I felt my own heart swell with gratitude. Being surrounded by our loved ones, with my sister by my side as my maid of honour and Pat’s younger brother standing as his best man, added an extra layer of warmth and intimacy to the ceremony. It was a truly special feeling to stand together as a family, surrounded by those who matter most to us, and to know that we were making this commitment in front of the people we cherish the most.

Favourite memories

One of my most treasured moments from our wedding day was during the golden hour, when Pat and I snuck away for our sunset photos. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to step away from the reception and savour the moment, just the two of us. We took a few minutes to soak in the beauty of the surroundings and reflect on everything that had brought us to this point. It was a truly special time for us to reconnect and cherish this moment together. Another highlight was our bridal party photoshoot, which was an absolute blast! We all had so much fun laughing and joking around, creating some truly unforgettable memories. And of course, dancing with our loved ones on the dance floor was an added bonus – it’s a memory I’ll always treasure.

Favourite vendors

One of the things that truly made our wedding day unforgettable was the exceptional talent and professionalism of our vendors. Rebecca Farley, our photographer, and Whitney Morley, our Videographer, were absolutely fantastic! They put us at ease and made us feel so comfortable during the photo and video sessions. We were initially nervous about being in front of the camera, but they worked their magic to capture our special moments in a relaxed and natural way. We’re incredibly grateful for their expertise and skill.

Jessie & Matt

The love story

Jessie and Matt’s love story is one of serendipity and timing. They first crossed paths in their university days, but it wasn’t until ten years later that their paths converged again. A chance encounter at a bar in Collingwood set the stage for a romance that would blossom, and ultimately lead them to where they are today – together, forever.

The engagement

It was a day at the beach that will forever be etched in my memory. I was captivated by the sight of someone reeling in a big catch, but my attention was quickly diverted when Matt’s voice rang out, “Look what I found!” As I turned around, my heart skipped a beat as I took in the breathtaking scene before me. And that’s when I saw it – Matt, down on one knee, his eyes shining with love and adoration, asking me to be his forevermore.

The wedding gown

I still remember the stunning simplicity and timeless elegance of my wedding dress, which added a touch of whimsy with its delicate bow. It was the perfect blend of sophistication and playfulness, setting the tone for a joyous celebration with loved ones.

The venue

A convenient and charming choice! Our venue offered the perfect combination of aesthetics and accessibility – a lovely setting, everything under one roof, and conveniently located just a stone’s throw from our home, making it an ideal spot for our special day.

One piece of advice

The thought of having all our favourite people in one place is simply exhilarating! It’s a dream come true to imagine the laughter, tears, and memories that will be made on our special day. We can hardly contain our excitement as we count down the days until we’re surrounded by loved ones, celebrating our love and commitment to each other. And when the big day finally arrives, we’ll soak up every moment, from the anticipation and buildup to the joy and revelry. And even after the last dance has been danced and the last slice of cake has been devoured, we know we’ll be reliving those special moments for months to come, cherishing every detail and memory.

Beautiful moments from the ceremony

Our personalized vows were a true reflection of our love and commitment to each other. Our celebrant masterfully wove our story together, honoring our bridal party and infusing the ceremony with joy, warmth, and a sense of celebration. The result was a truly unforgettable and heartfelt experience that left us both feeling grateful and loved.

Favourite memories

Our first look was a highlight of the day! Matt had been eager to do it, and after some gentle persuasion, I finally agreed. And oh, I’m so glad I did! It was an intimate and romantic moment that we’ll treasure forever. And as an added bonus, it stretched out the day, allowing us to squeeze in some fantastic photos with our beloved bridal party. We cherished the opportunity to spend quality time with our closest friends before the ceremony and reception, making the day feel even more special and memorable.

Favourite vendors

It’s impossible to choose favorites, as each member of our wedding party was exceptional in their own way! They were truly the dream team, and we felt so lucky to have them by our side on our special day. Every single one of them brought their own unique energy and joy to the celebration, making it a day we’ll always treasure.

Lauren & Casey

The love story

After 14 years together, Lauren and Casey were well aware that marriage wasn’t going to change a lot for this gorgeous couple. Instead, it would be their final declaration of their commitment to one another.

Keen for a country destination wedding, Lauren and Casey chose Mewburn Park Homestead as the stunning backdrop for their wedding day. Located just under three hours from Melbourne, it was the rural destination they had always dreamed of. “We are really glad we chose such a magical location filled with incredible diversity, splendour, and stunning backdrops” says Lauren. “Mewburn Park Homestead felt like a hidden gem, a stunning oasis away from the surrounding farmlands and we could make it our own with all our amazing vendors. The majority of our guests travelled from Melbourne to attend our wedding and Casey and I wanted our guests to have the most beautiful time. It was a hot 40-degree day in February, and our day was beyond perfect and truly came together in the most beautiful way.”

One piece of advice

Do what you want to do and not worry about traditions, others’ advice, or norms! ie. we didn’t match our ceremony and reception flowers and it looked amazing and created a fun surprise and change in the mood!

Georgina & Frank

The love story

Popping this gorgeous story together along with the beautiful imagery from Rebecca from Lemon and Lime Photography, you will notice there is something so beautiful about this ‘love story’ of Georgina and Frank.

Georgina grew up on her family’s farm in Poowong East. The area holds such fond memories for her and she shared “We love visiting the farm on the weekends; where the kettle is always on and the work never finished.”

Georgina and Frank knew they wanted to get married somewhere local in Gippsland. On a typical Saturday night, they gathered around Georgina’s parent’s kitchen table, with a few neighbours and some lovely wine and someone mentioned the Poowong Chapel for their ceremony and the local Poowong East Hall for their reception venue.

With a beautiful open mind, they went to look at the little Chapel and immediately they both fell in love with its timber beams, stained glass windows and intimate feel. The Hall required a little vision to see past the cobwebs and sticky weed, and Georgina and Frank knew with some elbow grease, some extra love and some gorgeous decorations, this Hall could be made into a beautiful space.

It took many late nights stringing fairy lights and vacuuming floors, along with the generosity and help from their wonderful family, bridal party, neighbours and vendors – but the Chapel and Hall were transformed so beautifully for their wedding day. Georgina said, “She remembers looking around at all our happy guests and thinking ‘this was perfect for us’.”

One piece of advice

It really does go by in a flash. You can’t have too many photos. Say yes to disposable cameras. It’s okay if things go wrong; it will still be the best day ever because you will be surrounded by everyone you love, making it the greatest celebration. Make it as personal as possible; it’s easy to be swayed by things that are flashy and meaningless. Let your florist have full creative freedom; just give them colours. Have a colour palette for guests. And definitely book Stratton Photography
