LOVE STORIES SHARED WITH
HONESTY, BEAUTY & HEART

Organising a honeymoon can be an exciting but sometimes overwhelming task in addition to the ‘main event’ –  your magical wedding day.

Some people dream of their Honeymoon, just like their wedding and have a vision of how they want it to be but just like any other travel whether it be for work or a little weekend away. So in saying this, people generally do this once and they want to ‘do it properly’ so here are my 5 tips to consider when planning a Honeymoon.

1. Time of Year and Weather

Research the best time to visit your chosen destination. Some places have distinct seasons that can greatly affect your experience, like monsoon seasons or peak tourist times. Check the weather patterns to ensure you’ll enjoy ideal conditions. If you’re getting married in November but you want to go to Europe for your Honeymoon in their summer, that’s at least another 7 months away.

2. Budget

Establish a clear budget early on. Factor in flights, accommodation, meals, activities, and any extras. Be realistic about what you can afford and consider options for splurging on special experiences versus more budget-friendly choices. At the end of the day you’re going to do this once and do it properly, right.

3. Activities and Interests

Think about what you both enjoy. Whether it’s relaxing on the beach, exploring cultural sites, or going on adventures, align your activities with your interests. Make a list of must-do activities to ensure a fulfilling experience. Going to a place like the Maldives isn’t ideal if you don’t like the water or can’t swim!

4. Duration of the Trip

Decide how long you want to be away. This will help in choosing a destination that fits within your time frame. Consider travel time to the destination as well, as some places may require longer flights, cutting into your honeymoon time. Is it worth travelling to Hawaii for 11+/- hours if you’re only going to be there for 5 nights?

5. Accommodation and Amenities

Research different types of accommodations, from luxury resorts to cozy boutique hotels or vacation rentals. Look for amenities that are important to you, such as spa services, romantic dining options, or privacy features like secluded villas. This would also include family friendly properties. By considering these factors, you can create a memorable and stress-free honeymoon tailored to your preferences and dreams!

As your Personal Travel Manager I want to know more about you! Your likes and dislikes; If your friend or family has recommended going to Paris for the art and museums but you don’t enjoy art and museums, then don’t go to Paris for example. How have you travelled before? Would you like to join a tour but don’t want to be with as many as 48 other people, then perhaps we can look at a small group of around 12 people. Do you like secluded and quiet destinations? You’re celebrating with the kids and want a family friendly resort? The more you tell me, the more we can make your Honeymoon the perfect fit – just like the wedding dress.
