A retro inspired floating accommodation for guests who crave the unseen. Located on the absolute waterfront of the Gippsland Lakes, Victoria in Australia’s idyllic Far South East. Moored on a stunning private bay on the Lakes Entrance foreshore, gaze at the water from your queen size bed. Our two bedroom floating apartment sleeps four comfortably – complete with its very own water view bath house and boat mooring.

Such an incredible, unique experience like no other. The photos just don’t do it justice. The retro furnishings and every tiny aspect of the home are unique and high quality; from the mermaid door handle to the Gucci wallpaper and cloud like beds. Walking distance to everything you need, but you won’t want to leave this floating sanctuary anyway. Highly recommend; I’m already planning my next stay! – Kate

Staying at Idle was a rejuvenating experience, full of laughs, water and good times!Idle Lake House is the ultimate holiday destination! Situated right on the waterfront of the Gippsland Lakes, this unique floating house will have your crew having the time of their lives. We loved swimming to our hearts content, relaxing on the deck, enjoying some drinks and chats, listening to tunes on the record player and just overall having an excellent time in each others company, in such an idyllic space.
