Maybe once in a lifetime you find someone who not only touches your heart but also your soul.

Our proposal was a complete surprise to me, Paddy organised it to happen at his favourite place in the world (Old Trafford in Manchester UK). I was jet lagged and just wanted coffee but the proposal was amazing.

We had a long engagement so all of our special friends/family could make it from Northern Ireland. We are so glad we did, having them there made it so special.

I chose an ivory/nude dress as I have very fair skin, I loved it from the minute I tried it on.

We wanted to have a wedding that was as fun as we are, we had personal vows that included promises of not cooking duck during cricket season (Paddy is an A Grade player). Paddy read the theme song from Home and Away. It was fun and our guests all said they have never laughed and cried so much at a wedding.

The morning of our wedding was very relaxing, I sipped champagne with my bridesmaid and best friend, and went out for breakfast. I enjoyed the pampering from my gorgeous hairdresser, and makeup artist.

Both my children joined me and accompanied me to walk down the aisle. When I had my arms linked with both of them and saw Paddy waiting it was perfect.

our rave review

There were many highlights on our wedding day. The Vines on Avon were outstanding, not only for the organising and looking after us and our guests raved about the venue, food and the atmosphere. Our flowers were spectacular and everything we so wished for, our wedding cake was amazing (a replica of the statue at Old Trafford).  The band was great and Rebecca from Rebecca Farley Photography was fun and uplifting even though it rained constantly!

our one piece of advice

I know it sounds cliché but enjoy. You do all this planning and pay a lot of money for your wedding day but honestly just have a wonderful time.

At one stage my new husband said, I am going to dance with my wife and he came and found me.  We danced together and looked around at our family and friends having the best time, that is what it is all about.
