real wedding

claudia & jacko

the love story

Claudia and Jackson met through mutual friends. Claudia shared ‘it wasn’t love at first sight, however Jackson was super persistent and says how lucky she is that Jackson jumped through so many hoops to get my attention!!!’

A surprise date was their actual first date and Jackson asked Claudia’s Mum to pack for him her bathers and a change of clothes and he took her to the Mornington Hot Springs which was the beginning of so many more wonderful dates. Claudia was super impressed and fell in love with Jackson for the kind and funny person he is.

the engagement

Claudia shared the following with us here at I do I do Gippsland about her epic engagement. ‘Aw my gosh was it a proposal from the movies! Jackson originally planned to propose to me at Fraser Island where we had been holidaying for 2 weeks. However, days before the planned proposal, we had car troubles which meant we were unable to get to the location and had to leave the island immediately before we got stuck there. Jackson then had to come up with a quick ‘back-up plan’ which turned out incredible!  We stayed at his Mum’s boat house at Lake Eildon and the next morning he had arranged a favour from his step grandparents to borrow their brand new and rather large boat. Jackson took me out alone in the middle of the lake, where he sang to me a song when we first started dating ‘Grow Old With You by Adam Sandler.’ Jackson then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him which followed with champagne and a beautiful ring.’

the wedding gown

Claudia tried on five wedding gowns previously and just fell in love with the one she chose for her wedding. She loved it so much from the moment she tried it on that she just knew. Claudia wore her Mum’s veil which made her feel so special and just loved how she felt wearing her wedding gown.

the venue

The Shearing Shed was a place that they loved. Both Claudia and Jackson wanted to be married outside and The Shearing Shed ticked all the boxes and made for the perfect day.

memories

There are so many beautiful memories from Claudia and Jacksons’ wedding day and Claudia shared that ‘she just adored the entire day and that every minute was truly incredible.

our vendors

Claudia and Jackson had to cancel their whole wedding 3 weeks prior due to the COVID snap lock-down. It was a credit to everyone involved in creating their wedding again so quickly and having all vendors be so supportive and understanding during that time.

one piece of advice

Enjoy the entire process!! Don’t stress and don’t panic, just take your time planning the day, exactly how you both want it to be and just enjoy it all. It comes and goes so quickly, and you want every memory of it to be perfect.
