real wedding

megan & tarrant

the love story

Megan and Tarrant met in Albury in a moment where they were ‘in the same place at the same time’ and Tarrant said that when he first saw Megan, ‘he just had to meet her!’

Tarrant drove 5 hours for their first date in Gippsland. Google maps showed an image of an empty block for Megan’s home address, however he took a chance and was rather relieved and happy that when he arrived there was a house where Megan lived.

the proposal

Tarrant had been planning to ask Megan to marry him for a quite a few months. He had asked her father and her children as he knew how important it was to Megan. One morning Tarrant and Megan were sitting in a café having breakfast, when a beautiful box with ribbon appeared on the table. Megan said that ‘when she opened the box the most beautiful ring was inside and then Tarrant asked me if I would marry him? Of course I said yes!’

the wedding day

Megan and Tarrant chose the beautiful Toorongo River Chalets for their Wedding Ceremony and Reception. It was the perfect place for family who travelled as well as the onsite accommodation added the luxury of staying. The ceremony was planned on the stunning lawn area and due to the scheduled heavy rain they moved their Ceremony indoors which was just as beautiful.

beautiful memories

Megan had many beautiful memories from her Wedding Day. She shared ‘that one of the most exciting parts of her morning was getting ready for her Ceremony with her daughter who was Maid of Honour. She said that it was ‘truly special!’

Another favourite memory was when her Dad walked Megan to her Ceremony and she saw all the people who had made the trip for them. And above all when she met Tarrant at the alter, everyone else just faded away. She shared that ‘It felt for a moment that we were the only people in the world!’

one piece of advice

Make sure you get a good night sleep before the wedding day. Have a plan in writing and give that to your Photographer and Celebrant. Do a rehearsal, especially if there are changes at the last minute, especially the rain. Have fun and spend time with your guests.
