our love story

Date of Wedding – 27th October 2018
Ceremony + Wedding Celebration – MOMO Traralgon
Photographer – Bonnie Pix & Flix

I love you. You are my best friend. Today I give myself to you in marriage. I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you, to trust and respect you. I promise to love you when life is easy and when it gets tough. I will love you more each day than I did the day before. These things I give to you today, and all the days of our life.

so much more

I think we really fit the old cliché – “when you know, you know”. It’s just that we wasted a couple of years before finally taking a chance. We met at work and whilst there was an instant connection, life got in the way and we stumbled along in parallel lines until the day we were pushed together by circumstance. That time we wasted initially was quickly made up for. We bought our first house and made it a home and welcomed Archer earth-side in our first year. We haven’t slowed down since. Ricky proposed in September 2017 after a day spent enjoying some of our favourite things; good coffee, the gym and the beach. We knew we were expecting Poppy in March the following year, but hadn’t told anybody yet, so the engagement was another surprise. The next twelve months were a love-filled, chaotic blur. We adjusted to life as a family of four and with Poppy completing our little tribe, we began planning what was our perfect day. We were so lucky to find such genuine, passionate vendors who understood our vibe from the start. Our brief was simple: 20 of our family, our two little wilds and some amazing food. When the day arrived, we couldn’t have been more relaxed. Archer and Poppy are our greatest achievement – having them there to share our day was all we could have wished for.

our rave review

Sonya Chindamo from Bonnie Pix & Flix. She and Peppi made us both feel so comfortable. We were both so nervous about having photos taken, but our anxiety melted away as we jumped ditches and threw smoke bombs, laughed at each other and got our feet dirty. Our day was perfect and Sonya’s incredibly talented eye captured some of the most precious moments. It was the little things she saw, moments she stole and preserved for us; they’re priceless and we are so lucky she was there for it all.

one piece of advice

Stay true to your values and find vendors who want to ensure your day represents you.
