‘autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.’ – albert camus
Autumn is such a profound time of the year and with this changing season and the abundance of Mother Nature, this time has an incredible influence on our lives. It is a time of growing cycles of ripeness and maturity and is a beautiful time for self-reflection, awareness. and mindfulness.
Autumn reminds us of change and this time reminds us that our bodies, minds and surroundings are always changing and developing. It focuses on the impermanence of life, that this is a time that will last for a limited period of time and teaches us how vital it is to embrace the present.
The colours of Autumn bring a depth and width into our life and a mystery of comfort and offers us a chance to reconnect with ourselves as we preserve the journey inwards and cultivation of newness and the safety that this brings.
What a beautiful time to marry and ground your own love story and we share our beautiful Autumn Wedding Showcase with you.
We share to you our Autumn. Wedding Showcase, bringing to you the awareness of Autumn through the selected Gippsland Wedding Vendors as detailed beautifully below.
With the shift into Autumn, we are seeing brides opt for a bolder look in their gown, styling with brighter shoes, faux fur jackets and loose florals. Of course, with this shift into the cooler wedding days brings a need for sleeves! We have a range of long sleeve gowns that our brides are absolutely loving at the moment. With more sleeved gowns set to land in June, we know that this is going to be a definite trend for 2021 and one that we are loving!

Balmy afternoons, rich warm colours and golden evening light – Autumn is my favourite time of year, and it’s easy to see why it is so popular for weddings. When it comes to autumn wedding florals muted shades of rust, burgundy and gold teamed with neutral and blush tones continue to prove popular, often with a pop of bright, vibrant colour. Dahlias are always a popular choice for autumn, creating a romantic elegance when paired with roses and lisianthus. Australian native banksias and strawflowers, along with wildflowers such as king proteas, create bold and striking wedding florals. There are so many varieties of eucalyptus available to add interest and movement, along with the layers of texture provided by dried botanicals – dried grasses in particular are being used to create wild, organic bouquets and installations.
There’s so much inspiration to be found in nature during autumn – the changing foliage, berries and textural elements can all be incorporated into your wedding florals, not to mention the stunning photography opportunities. Everyone loves Autumn fashion and style, with the days getting slightly colder this is the best time to make your style a statement and just be creative with what you wear. Autumn outfits are all about knowing how to layer the right way and wearing the right colours. You can turn the simplest pieces of clothing into an eye-catching outfit just by putting it together wisely. A few colours that are now in trend for autumn are colours such as Burgundy, Emerald Green, Mustard, Orange, Browns, Camel, Sand Tones, Navy Blue and Greys just to name a few. There’s something truly magical about Autumn its the only time of year when couples can take advantage of the colour changing beauty of the leaves which make for stunning backdrops and photography with orange rusty tones. Our couples are more inclined to have a cosy sit down dinner with an open fire place in autumn rather than a cocktail style reception. A candle lit aisle indoors rather to an outdoor ceremony. Autumn brings so much beauty and with that it brings cooler weather making it more pleasant for all to enjoy. Images / Cassandra Faye Photography / Fern & Stone.
